Thats exactly what happened. I have to clean the project before building
it or it uses the old provisioning profile. I just uploaded a new build with
 the new provisioning profile.

AGAIN THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE BETA LIST. If
you want to participate in the beta testing send me a PM with your UDID

 | | | I dragged both files to iTunes and it didn't work for me with your latest Beta.
Doesn't it have to be a .ipa file?

If it is in "formula" mode you can enter any PH formula.

If it is in "on/off" mode you enter a device control command without the last
part. For example "INSTEON+LAMP" or "INSTEONGROUP+KITCHEN".

I've been considering getting started with some home automation using powerhome and insteon devices. If this iPhone app becomes available, I'm definitely in!!!

I have a new build for everyone. This is just a small update from v0.2 that
           | Posted: July 02 2009 at 11:07 | IP Logged | |
           |
 | you have right now. Unfortunately I haven't finished all of the changes for
v0.3 yet, but I wanted to add a few more people onto the list. The only
real change is the new ad server and I removed ads from the settings tab.
I also extended the beta until september.

 Here is the link
 http:/
 /www.invisionsta.com/downloads/ihome
 v0.2.1.zip

The users on the beta are:

| Code:

    |

       | raven77m GSOUZA
 nadler
 ifiwantedto
 jbbtex
 Veropierre
 sarcophage
 shoop
 rums
 | | |
The next beta has some big changes. You will have the ability to set
different on, off, dim, and status formulas as well as status colors for
each button. Summer is always really crazy at work so it may be a few
more weeks before I get it all finished up though.

If anyone else wants on the beta PM your UDID and I will add you onto
 the list.

Im back. I have had a lot going on in my life the last few months and this project was one of the many things that had to be put aside for a while. The good news is I'm back now and working on iHome again. There is still 1 more feature I want to get worked into the app and some clean up work but I should have the app submitted to Apple in the next week or so.

Well this has taken a lot longer than I had hoped, but it is finally finished. The application is all filled out I just need to fill in the notes on how to test it and click submit. I still need to figure out how to let Apple test the app. I don't really want them controlling my lights but if that's my only option I'll do it. I guess I would know when they are testing it then.

My thought is to configure the demo on a second computer with "virtual" devices and give them access to that copy of PowerHome. In theory this would allow them to test every aspect of the app without disrupting my house. Anyone know if this is possible or how to do it?

 | | | I don't think you have to worry about testing that thorough. I'm pretty sure they just check to make sure there are no security problems, redundancy with their apps, or anything illegal.

I doubt they will test if it actually controls lighting or not...
 But I could be wrong.
Either way, I look forward to checking it out!
Any idea on cost yet? Will you be giving out and promo codes?

That's what I thought at first, but the app is pretty much a blank screen without PowerHome. Then again there are several blank screen apps in the app store. I think they call them flash lights? I guess there is no harm in submitting it without it. The worst that can happen is they come back and say they need a server to test with.

Just got an email back from Apple. They need a test account to test the app. I think I can cheat a little with some PHP on a web server for this version, but some of the stuff I have in the next release are going to need a real copy of PowerHome. Any ideas how I could do this?
