Why is NTPort Library installed on your system? I don’t believe PH is trying to install it although I could be wrong.

I don't think I have a NTPort Library installed. Reviewing this, should I?

It seems the problem is now resolved. For reasons I forget at the moment, I have a copy of Zeal SoftStudio NTPort library (ntport.dll v2.5.0.9) on my system. I don't know what its attached to but renamed & rebooted so it is effectiveley out of the system. Good install !!!

Well, just a follow up, it appears as though NTPort library is part of the PH install ???

After i removed it and got a good install I remembered to go back and checkand now there is a new version, so it seems it comes in the PH install. All appears to be functioning now

Just to confirm...PowerHome does install NTPort during the setup process. This DLL (we license it) is used to talk directly to parallel ports under NT and above. This is for support of the Velleman K8000 parallel port controller and isnt used (currently) by any other device. As long as you're not using the K8000, you should be safe in deleting it if you don't want it.
