Anyone have any luck getting VR to work in PH with Vista as the operating system?

I downloaded and ran the three .exe files for SAPI4 from the PH website....saw a previous post that said VR only worked with SAPI4. I am using SAPI5 for TTS.

After trying a few things, all I get is "Critical Errors"...any pointers are appreciated.

VR for my set-up is NOT critical...I am fooling with VR just because I bought a new mic. :)

If it was me I would E-Mail the error to Dave. Funny, it was just today that someone asked me if anyone was using VR with PH. Now I know at least one is trying.

I have now gone back to XP to keep things simple.

PLEASE let me know if you work this out because it would really help me shifting back to XP... (Mainly because my 6gb of RAM is only allowed to run at 3.2gb by XP!!! GRRR!

I'm using it successfully in Windows 7. UAC definitely had to be off in order for it to work. Haven't had to adjust anything else. I don't run PH in any compatibility mode or as an administrator.

I haven't had any problems running under Windows 7. There's a couple things to keep in mind when installing:

 1) Install directly to the C drive, not Program Files.
 2) UAC must be turned off.

I do take all the defaults which does go to program files. I also run in compatibility mode plus turn off UAC on both Win 7 and Vista.
